ITINERARY

Early departure from Sapa at about 07.30 am. Transfer downhill for 37 km to Lao Cai (or picked up upon arrival at Lao Cai station. Freshen up and breakfast in a local restaurant for groups arriving to Lao Cai by train.

Then follow national road 4D for 50 km to Muong Khuong town let which offers beautiful scenery of  terraced rice paddies, lush fruit farms, tea & pine plantation,… Enjoy several  photo stops along the way, especially local Sunday market at Ban Lau before arriving to Muong Khuong Town let market place at about 09.00 am.

Join local ethnic peoples for the rest hours of the morning to enjoy the exciting atmosphere as well as activities of this week-end market. Walk from section to sections, corner to corners, seeing and smelling of different local product, spices, vegetable, farming tools, handicraft, even medicinal herb…especially meeting smiling peoples every where. The market always crowded for the whole morning and over after lunch time. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant with local specialties.

Take an hour walk for nearly an hour after lunch around the center of this charming town let before leaving for Lao Cai. The journey back will be highlighted with a walk for visiting to a large tea farm at Thanh Binh as well as several stops along the way for visiting villages of ethnic peoples. Trip ends at Lao Cai station for groups taking night train to Hanoi.

Optional: Enjoy a coffee break near the border gate and continue for another 45 minutes uphill to Sapa. Trip ends with drop off at your hotel in Sapa.
