Perfect hotel in Sapa. The room was so nice and comfortable, the grounds beautiful and an oasis in the mountains. The hotel is up on a hill and if you want to walk to town it’s not very easy if you have trouble walking. They also have a shuttle to town. The included breakfast has a huge assortment of items and very good. The spa is beautiful with a nice assortment of treatments. The Victoria Hotel has private luxury train cars with white bedding and comforters from Hanoi, which was very nice for traveling the 8 hours overnight. Do stay here – so lovely

The train departs six times a week, linking Hanoi to Lao Cai. The Victoria Express Train is a 8.5 hour trip from Hanoi to Lao Cai, accommodating up to 52 passengers in two luxurious sleeping carriages. Each sleeping carriage has 6 superior cabins (4 berths) and 1 deluxe cabin (2 berths), all are air-conditioned, wood paneled, with individual reading lights, baggage storage and oversized windows.
